We use technical know-how and the latest processes to ensure that our products are of the highest quality.

STEP BY STEP TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE.

We will continue to promote the expansion of energy from renewable sources in our company and examine the increased use of solar systems on our roof surfaces.

FACT!

The share of renewable energies increased by 3.2 % in 2020 to 49.3%. We are proud to have set an important milestone in this regard with our biomass power plant.

Biomass power plant

Our in-house biomass power plant is a large and very important part of our company premises. Since June 2020, we have been generating electricity from our own power for our entire premises and also for surrounding private households.

From the idea to implementation to the start of construction

In the fall of 2018, the idea of independence was born and decided, bringing the big goal of becoming independent and protecting the environment a lot closer to reality. Shortly afterwards, the planning of the power plant began, which took a whole year. The ground-breaking ceremony for the foundations took place in the fall of 2019.

Construction time, commissioning

In May 2020, after just eight months, we were able to start the first trial and put our power plant into operation. The official inauguration followed in June 2020. It then took another six months to reach full load utilization, so that we were able to record a complete success in December 2020.

Difficulties

We were also affected by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and our construction phase was extended by a quarter of a year. Nevertheless, looking back, we can still speak of a very good and well-planned construction phase and are all the more pleased today to have such a building on our premises.

Since commissioning our biomass power plant, we have been supplying our entire company with 100% green electricity.

Power generation at its best? Yes, we can do that too!
To generate electricity, we can produce all biomass waste from the forest and our wood production.

Wood chips with a little sawdust, bark and wood chippings make the perfect mixture for our incinerator.

Water and oil are heated in our main boiler during the combustion process. We use the hot water to supply our company and operate the heating system. The hot oil generates electricity in a closed circuit with the so-called ORC turbine.

Boiler output - 5 MW
